Barn Twelve is a multi-discipline full-service equestrian center located in beautiful Midway. We pride ourselves in providing high-quality horse boarding, training, and riding instruction. Our experienced staff is available to assist our clients by providing expert knowledge and the best of care to meet you and your horse’s needs.

Services We Offer


Boarding

Full-Care Stall Board

Barn 12 features spacious 14 x 14 well-ventilated stalls, a heated tack room, A/C and heated kitchen and bathroom, and an Indoor heated wash stall. Outside there are 2 wash stalls, a round-pen and an irrigated 125 x 260 mortar sand outdoor riding arena. We offer acres of open space to ride on our beautiful, well-maintained, private gated farm.

  • Stalls are cleaned and bedded with wood shavings, water buckets dumped daily.
  • Horses are routinely checked, lightly groomed, and feet picked daily; blanketed as needed at no extra cost.
  • Turned out daily in large, well-maintained fields that have automatic waterers.
  • We grow and feed our own high-quality hay.
  • We feed McCauley Feeds twice daily. Supplements, provided by owner, fed as needed at no extra cost.

Pasture Care Board

Horses are pastured in our spacious, well-maintained fields where boarders have full use access to all of the facilities.

  • Horses receive morning basic fed; hay is provided, if needed.
  • Horses blanketed as needed.
  • Horses included in the farm scheduled farrier and vet visits.

Annex Barn – Self Care

Our Annex Barn provides large pastures and the option of self-care stall use. Owners are responsible for all aspects of horse care.

  • Boarders have full use of Barn 12 facilities and riding arena.
  • Gated entrance.

Training, Riding Instruction & Consulting Services

We will work together to develop a program designed to achieve your desired goals!

Currently we offer riding lessons and horse training to Barn 12 boarders only. Rates vary depending on frequency and duration.

We offer consulting services for horse evaluations and assistance seeking to purchase; equine / barn management; and career advice/internship opportunities.


About Amanda Reardon

Amanda is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science and Management and a minor in Agricultural Economics. While at UK, she was a member of the UK Equestrian Team. Prior to college Amanda trained with Sharon Myers, Chimney Hill Farm, and Steuart Pittman, Dodon Farm, in Maryland, where she grew up. She competed in the National Capitol Equitation League and various other equestrian teams and clubs. After graduating from college, Amanda accepted a position at the Kentucky Horse Park as Manager of the Education Dept. There she developed and facilitated educational programs and activities, which included summer riding programs for under-privileged youth. Additionally, Amanda served on the board of directors for the Certified Horsemen’s Association and certified as CHA Master Level Riding Instructor and Assistant Clinic Instructor. Amanda has years of hands-on experience in the equine industry and is truly passionate about the success of Barn 12.
